THE STORY

FINDING ‘APPINESS is an intimate film about recovery, acceptance and identity. ​Following Allan Bradbury, a 73 year old man in recovery, as he lets go of a lifetime of fear and starts to find the freedom he’s always yearned for. Allan believes his life has been written out all along, and after finding himself clean and sober for over 20 years, he begins to feel reborn and embraces life at an older age.

Since going through recovery, Allan has gained an unconditional love for nature, an empathy towards fellow human beings, and a need to help and engage with other people who are afraid of accepting who they are.   

FINDING ‘APPINESS is inspiring, colourful, entertaining at times, with bursts of feel good Rock & Roll music and moments of solitude. The film raises questions about religion, love, age, loss, and aims to inspire those who are afraid of accepting who they are.
